Florida is one of the many places around the world where Jatropha is being viewed as the way forward for farmers plagued with falling agricultural yield and rising fuel costs.
In fact, the over ‘two busloads’ of visitors to the Jatropha nursery in the Fox news clipping were part of the JatrophaWorld Miami 2008 site visit.
In fact, this site visit was so popular that it was oversubscribed.
Over 200 people had come forward to view the pioneers of Jatropha planting in Florida.
As Jatropha farmers were on hand to explain why this plant is saving them and their waning incomes, news-cameras were on site bearing witness to this exciting new Energy Crop that will play a key role in revolutionizing Biodiesel in the US and the rest of the world.
All the delegates who attended were glad to have had the opportunity to take their learning beyond the air-conditioned comfort of the conference room, and out into the actual field where they were able to see Jatropha planting first-hand.
We’re currently putting together a planting workshop to be held in Miami in early November, for everyone who is keen to start planting Jatropha.
Don’t forget to come back here & watch this space for more information!
